Perfect comes with practice, well you’ve heard that one before
We all get better doing things by doing them some more
And anything gets stronger with a little growing room
It takes a patience and a wisdom not forged in the womb

Everyone falls down sometimes, though sometimes it won’t show
And when they fall or fly inside at times, you’d never know
Perhaps each person needs a second chance perpetually
Or perhaps that’s just the case for fools like me

When they built old Rome, it took them longer than a day
And he who never makes mistakes makes nothing great, they say

‘Cos everyone falls down so don’t be scared to start again
And failure sure can hurt but, it doesn’t have to be the end
Surely we all need error margins if we’re all a family?
Or perhaps they’re just required by fools like me

Though everyone falls down sometimes, they might not let it show
And who could use a little grace today, you never know
But I’m not the only human with a life philosophy
So perhaps it just applies to fools like me
